Research and Development Support

With experience in the conduct of fundamental research, we develop methodologies for study and execute technical, qualitative, and quantitative research in the advancement of technologies, policy, and warfighting. We conduct technical reviews and materials testing, requirements analyses, financial viability reviews, safety reviews, and analyses of alternatives for everything from aircraft to force structure to radar and visual systems.

We excel at concept formulation for ideas both broad and very technically specific. In addition to concept development, Xyston Solutions’ team has participated in assessments of system and subsystem requirements ranging from foliage penetrating radars to safety gear and equipment to communications systems and beyond. In addition to requirements, we are skilled in analysis and evaluation of concepts, technologies, and systems as they relate to budgets, applicability, usability, safety, and quality.


Modeling, Simulation, Stimulation, and Analysis Support

Xyston Solutions’ staff has extensive experience developing and executing studies and providing high quality research and analysis. We are skilled in the use of advanced academic and professional research techniques and procedures, and we use software and other systems that meet or exceed the industry standard. Our staff members are experienced analysts and users of a number of model suites to include system dynamics, human behavior, physics models, force structure models, cost models, and weapons systems models.


Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) Support

We are experienced in applying engineering, scientific, and analytical disciplines to ensure that systems’ and platforms’ RM&A requirements are well integrated with the system design, development and life cycle sustainment. Our work has resulted in warfighting capabilities that function effectively when required and detect and correct deficiencies, weak parts, and workmanship defects that affect functionality. Our team of experienced engineers, analysts, pilots, and other subject matter experts are able to provide insight to determine actual and potential time between failures, down time, and cost estimation. We have experience with both simple and complex systems and can tailor different methods for approximating solutions.


Quality Assurance (QA) Support

Our experienced QA staff is responsible for establishing criteria for quality standards and metrics that apply to all products, processes, and services program and/or task order wide; structuring systems for controlling and monitoring adherence to prescribed criteria; and identifying adverse trends. An effective QA program ensures these reviews are conducted and reported across the program or task order. Critical findings are reported to the Program Manager, Task Order Manager and/or customer where issues are addressed and incorporated into a closed-loop corrective action process. In addition, the QA program provides additional oversight to support total program QA and consistency, efficiency, and objectivity of assessments and reviews.

Our Program Excellence Plan applies Lean Six Sigma concepts to all processes and includes quality reviews, corrective and preventative action processes, a risk management plan, weekly and monthly status reports, and inclusion in quarterly program management reviews.


Information System (IS) Development, Information Assurance (IA), and Information Technology (IT) Support

Our mission-oriented personnel have expert-level knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) Accreditation Packages, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), retina, vulnerability scans, Nessus, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG), and Cybercom/DISA Benchmarks.  Additionally, Xyston Solutions can perform maintenance and technical support for Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) that are outside the cognizance of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), as well as modify, implement and maintain web based information systems and links. Ultimately, our experts provide IT leadership through the implementation of Change Management, Configuration Management and strict IT Governance.

Xyston Solutions’ staff have experience with A+, Net+, Security+, MCSE, DOD 8500 series policies, LINUX based websites (RedHat, and Oracle), Databases  (SQL, Postgresql, and MySQL), matched with strong written and verbal communication skills geared towards mission accomplishment.  Our personnel also have extensive experience with Line of Sight/Beyond Line of Sight (LOS/BLOS), Network Topology and Architecture of specific radios and infrastructure used to support these functions. Our personnel have industry industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and extensive experience with key technology capabilities like SATCOM, Clearcom, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Key Generators (KG).


Training Support

Xyston Solutions utilizes experts who are former graduates, instructors, and a commander of the elite United States Air Force Weapons School, and key personnel have served as advisors to senior military and civilian leaders at all levels to include major military component command headquarters, military service headquarters in Washington DC, and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Xyston Solutions’ key personnel have authored tactical doctrine and conducted tactics development and validation. Our personnel have planned, organized and led multiple large force exercises on the Eglin Range complex, the Nevada Test and Training Range, and the Melrose Range Training Complex. We are adept at providing a controlled learning environment and strive to develop an institutional reservoir of tactical and operational knowledge.

We manage the entire strategic planning process, from defining client problems and identifying potential training opportunities, to leading small and large-scale facilitation efforts, to documenting results and implementing action plans. Xyston Solutions’ personnel have initiated change management experiences, leading engagements that have helped business units achieve improved individual and team performance results. Our personnel have spearheaded extensive training, communication, and interpersonal interaction with executives, managers, and teams as they experience new procedures and technologies in the workplace.

Xyston Solutions has completely embraced the application of Lean processes across the spectrum of our operations to create effective and efficient strategic, tactical and cultural approaches to aid in achieving an organization’s goals and objectives. We can develop training materials based on the implementation of National Security Personnel System (NSPS) Competency Alignment initiatives, and other workforce training efforts related to organizational development initiatives, process improvement initiatives and Human Capital Strategies. All applicable within the Integrated Enterprise Excellence (IEE), the performance measurement and improvement process orchestrates employee day-to-day activities so that they align with true business needs.

Xyston Solutions utilizes subject matter experts who have provided both platform instruction and supported classroom instruction for a number of courses involving advanced air warfare training, tactics, techniques and procedures. Our personnel meticulously developed and facilitated multiple, government approved courseware sets for USAFWS tailored specifically for Special Operations Forces (SOF), platform systems training including the modeling and implementation of scenarios designed to replicate enemy combat tactics. These courses reinforced the training environment as students learned to operate complex air warfare platforms and the accompanying systems. Through our unique expertise that was fostered through the relationships with the Special Operations Forces communities, including NSW and MARSOC, in a multitude of real world and training environments, we are able to conduct needs analysis, implementations of designs, sustaining a portfolio of programs that reflect and target the actual technical training needs and developmental criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities all of which decrease downtime during training activities and eliminate excessive costs.


Program Support

Our leadership and staff excel at creating and implementing strategic plans, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing change. We are experts in budget forecasting, analyzing variances, maintaining personal networks, and exploring opportunities to add value to each program.

Our staff is comprised of certified project managers and program support professionals who have provided program support to the US Department of State Office of Overseas Building Operations, Joint Guam Program Office, Headquarters Air Force A8, OSD/CAPE, and the Central Intelligence Agency. Xyston Solutions’ staff has worked to develop Statements of Work (SOW), Requests for Proposal (RFP) and generated Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). Xyston Solutions has provided technical assistance on contract execution, tracked funding levels, and prepared modifications to contracts. Xyston Solutions’ staff is experienced in analyzing program results and disseminating corrective action recommendations.


Functional and Administrative Support

We provide office, administrative, human resources and clerical support to our customers at both the program and task order levels. We have vast experience in program management, organizational development, leadership and executive development at various levels and organizations throughout the DoD including the Office of the Secretary of Defense and civilian aviation companies, augmented by superior continuation training in Human Resource Management and proven methodologies. Xyston Solutions’ personnel can create and implement a Human Capital Strategy by conducting diagnostics of the enterprise’s starting position relative to the four key human capital components of talent, leadership, culture, and organization; planning, delivering, and maintaining the strategy; and supporting the entire initiative through competent program management and governance.

Our certified Black Belt professionals utilize Lean, Six Sigma business performance guidelines to improve effectiveness and efficiency of organizational processes across the industry. They have also designed and conducted competency assessment baselines, developed competency frameworks, determined gaps in human capital, and implemented strategies to close gaps. Experience includes the management of the entire strategic planning process, from defining client problems and identifying potential opportunities, to leading small and large-scale facilitation efforts, to documenting results and implementing action plans.

Xyston Solution’s key personnel have a solid understanding of Performance Based Service Acquisition including the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), which are crucial in supporting the functional areas of the Most Efficient Organization (MEO) management system construct.


Public Affairs and Multimedia Support

Xyston Solutions’ key personnel have served as advisors and counsel to senior military and civilian leaders at all levels, and they have provided installation-wide news and events, reporting, and information as well as in-depth analysis and written key White Papers for the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, for the Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (OSD/CAPE), the Deputy Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Defense. Our experts have formal media training and, with years of practical experience, they have developed strategic messaging that merges national-level, service-level, and individual unit messaging into coherent focused themes that articulate key messages to target audiences across the full range of traditional and social media platforms. With a specialty in existing and emerging social media platforms, Xyston Solutions has real-world experience with the speed of viral social media messaging and has developed tactics and techniques to shape and influence the pace, direction, and perception of messages in this domain. To maximize effectiveness, the Xyston Solutions Public Affairs program works with seniors leaders to fully understand and develop an organizational messaging construct that prepares unit specific themes for public consumption.
